Your feelings and experiences are very normal. Please don't think otherwise! I remember last year when I was feeling exactly the way you described. I felt I had made the wrong decision to become a teacher.
So, I'll keep it short. I highly recommend that you get the book "Tools for Teaching: Discipline, Intruction, Motivation." I just ordered it through Barnes and Nobles. It is wonderful. It's easy to read. It is written with humor and has all the info that I think should have been taught during our teacher education days. Anyway...........get that book! Take it one step at a time, allow yourself to be human (you're going to make mistakes), remember that MOST teachers have a difficult time in the beginning. Teaching is not an easy skill to learn 'cause it's so multifaceted! Whoops....said I'd keep it short. See ya, G.M.
