Thanks for the good wishes. I can use all the help I can get. To answer your question, yes I did ask questions to get a feel for whether or not I would like to work for him. Specifically, I asked how the staff would describe
the working environment in the building and him as a supervisor. Assuming he gave me straight answers, it appears that he demonstrates a strong level of support for his staff and is unlikely to hang a teacher out to dry just to avoid a conflict with an over-bearing parent. He said that the staff is very enthusiastic and in sync with creating positive learning and work atmosphere.
To be honest, I really liked what I heard and I think this is a place where I could really enjoy teaching. I didn't get a sense that he was trying to sell me a line of bull, so I guess the next step is to wait until Thursday. I've got a virtual nation-wide prayer chain going, with some pretty heavy hitters working it, so I'm keeping a positive outlook.
