my turn

My turn to introduce myself. After working at our community college bookstore as a manager for 10 years after getting my Associates Degree (and yes, I know how much textbooks cost ha ha) I decided to stay at home with my| child. Since,then I returned to school as an Adult Degree Student (which means a lot of my classes were independent) I finally after four and half years I have now finished my English degree (grad this past May) and only have to student teach in the Fall. I took a semester off when my second son was born. I have already passed my Praxis and have volunteered at my son's school this year | |
and now I'm just really anxious to finally get into the classroom. I had some of the same experiences in the classes that you all had w/ the younger students. In fact I had an encounter at my college during one of the Saturday classes that I attended. They THOUGHT we were visiting parents on campus instead of students... It was terrible LOL. Sorry so long, I'm just so glad I found this board, it's truly been wonderful, and I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's teaching experiences this year.
