needing help
By Sue

Clip to ScrapBook
I would have students (Guys and girls) call me at 10:30 and 11:00 at night for help with a test (in a class I wasn't in with them but had the previous semester.)

They would also ask if they could drive by (at 11:00 pm!) and borrow my notes, copies of old tests, etc.

I would say, "No, my entire family is in bed."

One time, I finally read some notes over the phone to somebody so they wouldn't come over. I had to whisper so I wouldn't wake anybody up.
I wasn't really talked to by any of these "cool" students UNTIL somebody needed notes.

It is funny though, the tables are now turned. I see some of these students, new, in schools on their first job and very insecure around the "older" teachers.
