Clip to ScrapBook
The younger ones didn't think I worked there but I noticed that if they wanted an answer to something, they asked one of us "older heads". They also asked us when they needed a stapler, hole punch, or scissors. We had learned to carry such things in our backpacks. I was lucky to have more non-trads in with me and I enjoyed their friendship. I still keep in touch with a woman I met at the university. She was a refugee from Bosnia, a teacher for 20 years. She had to redo nearly all her course work as well as learn English along the way! Now that's a real 2nd career teacher.
