Trish,Is there any way the seniors could bring in photographs of their Christmas holidays from when they were younger? You can post the pictures on the board and have the theme of Christmas Past. You can even have a competition | to see if any senior can guess which name goes with their classmates' picture. On the same theme have one of the English classes to write narratives about the best Christmas present they received when they were younger and have them bring in photographs of opening up their favorite presents. I had the Earth and around it I had posters about how people in Australia, Canada, France, England, Germany, etc. celebrate the holiday. Also I include what they call Santa Claus in other countries.To stay away from Christmas theme and if you live where there is snow you could have the theme of Winter Wonderland and have students bring in winter photographs.
