weekly progress reports
By Jena

Clip to ScrapBook
At my school, we use computer grading programs. Most of us use Gradekeeper (which is downloadable at gradekeeper.com and is pretty cheap if you decide to keep it). There is a student scores report option, which shows all of the grades, points possible and assignments. Every single 6th -8th grader gets one of these every Friday from teachers of core classes. This really helps. The students are expected to take them home. I give them extra credit for bringing them back signed on Monday, but no penalty for not returning it. This system is spelled out at the 6th and 7th grade orientations and in the newsletter, so it's the KIDS' responsibility. It really works for us.
