I did Leadership/ASB/Student Council for 5 years. Look into day conferences for the kids. In California we have groups like CASC (California Association of Student Councils). They have day conferences every couple of months, some especially for middle school kids. The conferences include inspirational speakers, lots of ideas, and the chance to meet new people. They will give you and your students great ideas.Good Luck!
