Clip to ScrapBook
You need to make sure you are firm and consistent with rules and consequences. I have found with eighth graders that they need positive consequences as well. Make sure you reward them when they are acting appropriately. If you can come up with a program where they can earn a class reward. You would be surprised how positive peer pressure works when one or two students are acting out which interfers with working toward a class reward.
