it has to get better

Thank you so much for your ideas!!!!! I've been on the phone to parents for two days. The day after I posted that message, our school went under lockdown because of a missing gun and threats to students. I'm trying to think happy thoughts about going back on Tuesday. I hate seeing so many smart kids not caring about school. I just need to find their spark of interest, but I'm at a loss.

On Friday I had to physically restrain a student from another grade who had escaped ISS and was running for the outside door located by my class. All I can say is that after last week it can only get better.
