Do you mean the potatoes/wax demonstration? I think that would be neat. I was thinking I might put them into groups and give them some small problem solving challenges (like how many nails can you balance on a nail that's hammered into a woodblock) that we could use as a base to brainstorm the kinds of skills we'd be developing in science that year. I just need to find a few more problem solving challenge ideas for this to work.
