Maybe if they all are the same kids from your other class, then you could do getting to know you activities.. maybe a savanger hunt.. to get to know the class.. I saw a great post that someone does every yr. The students| go over beginning class procedures. (It is written on overhead.. Greet Mrs... with a smile, hand shake, or high five. go quietly to desk. Square away materials. begin board work. Wait for further instructions) this gets them going for your beginning procedures. Then she said on day 1, she does the hunt.. the questions are things like, what is your teacher;s name, where did she got ocollege | |
at (she puts a pennant on the wall of it), how many kids does she have, find someone who has a bday in Dec.. who sits next to you, etc// Hope this helps..
