Are you looking for something to test their skills or to use as an aide? I don't know of any good software for skills bulding. I teach at risk 7th and 8th graders. We use the STAR reading program to test each student a
few times a year. This actually breaks it into areas. It gives an individual Comprehension score and vocabulary score. But then, it breaks off and explains the students weakness and strengths. It is a great tool but doesn't offer any skills building activities. Their are around 20 different print outs the program offers for your individual needs. For example, there is a parent print
out to explain to parents what their child needs. I would also like to incorporate any software that students can use to help improve their ability. Hope that helps some.
