Clip to ScrapBook
I teach middle school L.D. classes and have stumbled on a behavior plan that works wonderfully. My 5 rules are basic--be prepared; keep hands, feet, objects to yourself; ignore inappropriate behavior; raise hand; work independently. When a student does good work, shows positive attitude and/or follows the rules I give them a ticket (like from a carnival). The tickets can be spent on game or puzzle time, food treat, pencil, computer time, etc. Infraction gets name on board as a warning, another infraction gets a check, etc. Each check adds to the consequences (second check is parent contact) until the fourth check, which is an office referral.
