Mural
By KimW

Clip to ScrapBook
When I did a mid. school interim I became close friends with the science teacher b/c her room was across the hall from mine. I loved her room. She also taught Life and Earth science. Her room didn't look any different
than amyone else's room until you walked inside it. On the back wall she had painted a mural that stretched the entire wall! The background was space and in the foreground was planets and animals. Earth was painted on one end pretty large and the other planets seemed to fall in the background (it focused on Earth, in other words). As you looked across the wall pictures of animals began
starting with smaller animals like bobcats, or something that size, and got bigger until there was a very large tiger. The tiger takes your eye when you first walk into the room. There are eagles and other animals that seem to be flying around the tiger. It was very beautiful. The best part is that the students she had the year she painted this mural got to help paint it. It took nearly all year b/c they couldn't spend a lot of time on it all at once. They had to break it up and work on it a little here and little there. The finished product is breath-taking.
This may not be the kind of idea you were looking for but I thought it warrented sharing.
