DOL
By donna

Clip to ScrapBook
I am sorry, but I never saw where DOL transferred into the writing of my students. I really tried presenting it in 4th, 5th, and 6th, gave it in the AM, made it PM DOL, tested on Friday-cannot say that writing improved.
I am now using Daily Grammar off the internet. They E-mail me a lesson 5 days a week. A skill is taught then tested. Would fit into your grade. It transfers somewhat better, but I have also started taking off points in writing if they miss something taught in daily grammar. I had them make their own grammar books, pages of lined paper folded between construction paper. I will check
grammar books each week to see that they are in fact doing the work, and of course there is the test. I teach it in a mini-lesson to the majority of the class. Take a look.
