Fourth grade books

Clip to ScrapBook
Hello!
Here's the ones I enjoy. I think my students like them, too. I begin the year with a child's version of The Last of the Mohicans. (It's easy text, but a great story!). Sometimes I follow that with the historical
fiction book "The Secret Soldier" which takes place during the American Revolution. It, too, is easy to read. Then, we read the heartwarming tale called "The Family Under the Bridge." (It takes place around Christmas, but it's certainly not just a Christmas story). Next we read Jean Craighead George's "There's an Owl in the Shower." This is a great science tie-in book. The
next is my favorite, Shiloh. I love to just read and enjoy this one doing few (if any) skill sheets. I try to squeeze in "The Midnight Fox" as well. It's another animal book, but it's a great story. I'm always looking for new books, so let me know if you come across a favorite.
