book club
By Jen

Clip to ScrapBook
Try to go to the website smplanet.com. They have an online bookclub, but the best part is that they explain a little about the process, and even have a book club book and video that you could purchase. This book has become my bible over the last four years. In it, they explain the entire process, give you several titles of books to use, and the book club lessons that go with it. Book Club is broken into three main parts: the club, in which a small group has the opportunity to discuss the reading, communtiy share, which pulls all of the titles together in a large group discussion, and reading responses, in which the children respond to what they have read in writing. It is a very powerful way to teach reading!!
