Great 3rd Grade Read Alouds
By Joanna De Luca

Clip to ScrapBook
Having taught grade three for many years, I remember many great novels that we shared. One of the most favourite was "Trumpet of the Swan" which I always read in the fall. It went well with our nature themes and we would read it outside our school which was in a rural setting. It is a very moving and funny story about overcoming obstacles, trying one's best and the power of love for friends and family. The second favourite was "The Hundred Dresses". It went well in our multicultural class where we always promote understanding and respect for different cultures.
