the cay

you can incorporate science into the study of the cay. There is a web site with a free book Lesson plans that has everything you would need to teach it. Unfortunately I can't remember the site. Also submarines, WWII, blindness, geography, what is a cay, research ocean animals and plants that were found on the cay (my kids loved this, they could relate it to something) I put the ocean animals and plant, even hurricanes, into a hat and then they researched them.
Have fun, there's tons to do with this book.
