Brown Bear, Brown Bear
By Laura

Clip to ScrapBook
My best friend just did the cutest thing with her kindergarten babies. After reading Brown Bear a couple of times, the kids each made their own book. First she typed out and copied the words Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? I see a ________ looking at me. _______, _______, what do you see? I see a ______ looking at me. Each sentence was on a separate piece of paper. I think you get the idea. The kids could then write what they say, or dictate it if they're not writing yet. Then they illustrated them and stapled them together. My friend had the books on the students desks for back to school night. All the parents were talking about it and the kids thought they could read and were authors!
