I haven't read the book either...but it might be a non threatening way to start a class discussion since it is written about 3rd graders (I read the last post) you might say remember third grade? Is it better or worse to be in 7th? What was good about 3rd? Bad? What's good about 7th? bad? are there similar things happening in both grades? you know what I mean? I have no idea what your motive is behind reading the book to the class but maybe it's a way to get the class talking about how they feel? or even writting?
