The Hundred Dresses
By Harriet

Clip to ScrapBook
Here's ideas I've compiled through the years:

1. Suppose Wanda actually came back to school. Would the children in the class treat her any differently? Write an additional chapter to this book predicting what would happen.

2.
Maddie learned something about Wanda and, more importantly, about herself. Write about an experience you're had with another person that made you learn something about yourself.

3. What are some strategies the children could use to prevent future problems with minority students?

4. Tell how the proverb, "you can't tell a book by its cover", relates to this book.

5. Design

a dress for Wanda's collection for our own class contest!

6. In the story the class had a drawing contest. Design a unique contest for our class. Tell what you are going to do and any materials you may need. Also, list the steps you need to follow to make your plan work.
