Jones Series Amber Brown Series Bailey School Kid Series Jigsaw Jones Mystery Series All the books listed above are great for individual reading (third grade level). I love to read all the Roald Dahl books aloud to the students at snacktime, then we watch the movie when we are done: The Witches (Awesome book to begin with! kids will beg you to read it every day. Can't watch the movie in school because it is PG), *BFG, *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, *James and the Giant Peach, *Matilda, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and so many more.
