I teach 4th/5th, but I can recommend a few titles of short chapter books I am familiar with. My 4th graders come to me from 3rd loving these two series books: Bailey School Kids series by ??? (have little mysterious feel -- Ex. Gargoyles Don't Drive Busses) JUNIE B. JONES series by ??? After I read one of this series to my students, they love these books: MARVIN REDPOST series by Louis Sachar I know this isn't much, but maybe it will get you started. JES
