WHAT!
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
I am surprised that you have not found a lot of interesting and useful lesson plans on the net. I have only been surfing the net for three weeks, and I am already running out of room on my floppy disk.

A few sites that
may help:
www.school.discovery.com
www.funbrain.com
www.nutrias.org
www.teachercreated.com
I use "**" because the last two lines are part of the URL for a site to construct your own rubric.

I hope you find something worthwhile on the sites above. I can hardly wait to return to my classroom so I can implement

some of the great information that I have found. On school.discovery.com, I created a short quiz for "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". The quiz was done for a technology workshop, so it is not extensive. However, it demonstrates a useful tool for teachers. When you establish a custom classroom on school.discovery.com, you can print your assignments or have students access the quiz using a URL specifically for that quiz. If you want to view my quiz, go to school.discovery.com/quizzes7/mshudson/HuckleberryFinn.html. You can even have the computer grade responses! However, I would not suggest such unless your assignment is multiple choice or true/false.

Also, the nutrias.com is the site for the New Orleans Public Library. Visit your city's public library site and look for teacher resources.

Good Luck.
