Territories!
By JES

Clip to ScrapBook
Robyn,
I don't know if you're still checking this posting, but I just ran across your comment tonight. I could not help but reply. I had the same problem. Our school is a 4th/5th grade center with ten 4th grade classrooms
and eleven 5th grade classrooms. I always tried my best to honor their requests and stay out of their territories. However, I finally found a solution to the problem! I became a looping teacher -- looping up with my 4th graders to 5th grade! I don't have to stay out of 5th grade territories now -- even when we are in 4th grade. Our school has separate literature storage areas
for each grade level. We can now go into either area and browse for books! It's heavenly, but now I hear that the 6th grade middle school teachers are: ". . . sick and tired of hearing their students say, 'Ive already read that book in Mrs. Sargent class!'" I guess you can't win them all!
