Clip to ScrapBook
Probably nothing very new, but Amelia Bedelia's books are great to teach different meanings of one word and using the context to decide. So the first thing could be to brainstorm a list of words with more than one meaning and imagine the results of mistaking one meaning for another. On a vertical piece of paper, ask kids to draw a line in the middle. On the top part, kids would write a sentence and draw an illustration. Then turn the paper upside down and on the bottom part ( now up... do you follow me? write and draw the same sentence with a different meaning. Staple the individual papers together and put a nice cover on your upside-down book.
Hope I didn't confuse you too much!
