Portfolio

Clip to ScrapBook
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. I brought my portfolio and spent a long time making a mini-portfolio to leave with them. Well, I got through another interview and realized I had not opened my portfolio. I guess I feel
like the transition from answering the question to popping it open is awkward. I need to have it open right off the bat and practice answering questions by referring to my portfolio. Sometimes it seems like a stretch to use the portfolio or I don't have a lesson that matches the questions or something. I don't know if it is a good idea to talk about the lessons I brought at the end
of the interview or not. I have so many questions.

Well, they were really impressed with my mini-portfolio which I did go over at the end of the interview. It had my resume, letters of recommendation, philosophy of ed, philosophy of classroom management, and two lessons. Each of the lessons were accompanied by color copies of pictures of the kids' work and the kids acting out a skit. They were happy that they could keep it. Well, if I get the job I think that will be the clincher because the rest of the interview was kinda mediocre.
