There are a glut of teachers in Michigan because we have many good colleges of educations here. Michigan State is especially good and has a lot of graduates. I too would stay away from Detroit Public schools. they're a mess from the top down. There has been a lot of scandle and a lot of top administrators wasting money on things like limos. Many classrooms want for supplies and the schools are in ill repair. There is not a lot of parental support from what I hear. There are many suburban districts that surround Detroit. Look there.
