I moved from the Plano/Frisco area last year and we were in dire need of lower elementary teachers in Frisco. Opening a couple of schools an year. Frisco is a really hot place right now and progessive. Don't hesitate to look there as any north suburb in the area. And yes, learn about TAAS. Because the philosophy is, even if you don't teach a testing grade, you're still part of the TAAS program. You need to prepare your kiddos for the TAAS test when they get to 3rd grade and higher.
Good luck. Being from Oklahoma, you would fit right into North Texas.
