Don't worry
By JulieP

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't worry too much. Two of the school districts here put a "hiring freeze" into effect before the end of the last school year. It lasted two weeks. Sometimes the districts will do this until next year's projections on budget and studetn population are complete. Some will do this to give the administration time to shift current teachers and then see if a need is still there for more teachers.

I would check private schools, though, just to keep your contact list growing and your options open. Remember, some of the private teachers may know someone in the public school system. Sometimes it's all about who you know, and being at the right place at the right time.
