I like the Hershey's Fraction

book. I use it as an introduction to fractions each year on Valentine's Day. It is expensive though because you need a 1.55 oz. Hershey's candy bar for each child. I am lucky and usually get a parent to donate them. It is cheaper if they buy a box of 36 from Sam's or Costco and give you the number you need for your students. It makes a big impression on them for the start of this hard math unit because it is fun. Fractions become fun by association because almost everyone likes chocolate.
