When Will Your Pity Party End?
By G.M.

Clip to ScrapBook
Discouraged:

You ask when this madness will end. Well.... it will most likely end when you STOP looking at Only the negative aspects of you plight and look at what is going right. I won't even bother with pointing our
what is right because I don't think you even want to hear it, because you are too engrossed in your pity party.

You ought to ask yourself if what you are doing (dwelling on all the negatives and submitting self-pity posts) is working for you. KEY QUESTION to ask yourself: Is is working for me? Obviously not.

On one hand, I really have empathy for you. But on the other hand, I have

had it with your posts. I see no willingness on YOUR part to change your plight. Complaining is not going to get it, Discouraged. I hope that sinks in. Your posts are beginning to remind me of the boy who cried wolf. There is going to come a time when many of these excellent teachers on this board are going to ignore you. You really are blowing a wonderful opportunity to learn from them. But it's up to YOU. They can't do it for you. That's the way it works in this world. No one has a magic wand to wave over you.

My suggestion to you is go back over your previous posts and (especially) the responses you got. Think about them long and hard.
If you are going to get anywhere, you most likely will have to stop entertaining negative thoughts so much. You know the saying "Garbage in, garbage out."

I don't like to be so harsh. However, sometimes we (me included) need a good swift kick in the pants from time to time(so to speak).

I sincerely wish you the best, G.M.
