to "Discouraged"

It is difficult entering the teaching profession in some places of the country. Maybe you need to expand your horizons a bit. I have known a number of people who have relocated to places where they are "dying" to have teachers, and they are very happy. I have conversed with some teachers in Clark County, Nevada. They love their school district and their jobs. I think that would be a wonderful opportunity for someone who is young and unattached. I used to recommend North Carolina, but the teachers are very disgrunted here because of the lack of a pay raise this year. Maybe you could look into Florida and Georgia, too.
