I sent out 100 resumes the first time I started interviewing. THERE ARE JOBS OUT THERE. You might have to move yourself, but they are there. I can pretty much guarantee you that every major city has a teacher shortage. NYC is desperate and so is MA, RI and NJ. Last I heard NC had a lot open as well.
The whoa is me stuff is self defeating. I know this sounds harsh, but suck it up, pick yourself up and persevere. Yes, I have a great job and I am lucky, BUT I WENT THROUGH EVERTHING THAT YOU DID. I kept going and going and going. I paid my dues and eventually got what I deserved.
