Yes, I agree! I don't even know you, Discouraged, but I am really rooting for you. I want you employed as a teacher, and SOON!Please take the above advice. Give us some concrete information about yourself and your situation. | I for one would love to help you out. I was very discouraged too before I was hired. It definitely takes a toll on your self-esteem. Come here and we'll try to bolster you up again. But try to include positive points in your post so you can get out of the "self-bashing" rut. About last weekend. You said that the principal put the application in the mail and you waited for | | it. Was the school too far away for you to go there and get it? Because if it was close enough, maybe (if this situation comes up again) you could put on your best interview suit, makeup and heels, tell the principal you'll be right over to pick it up, and then go get it. You could fill it out right in the office and then give it to him (or her of course), and ask if they'd like to look it over and ask you any questions before you go. Like the others said, you have nothing to lose by doing this. You will make an impression. You will definitely stand out in their mind more than if you stayed home and waited for the application in the mail. It's that phrase: "Go-getter"--this is where it comes from. Go get it!! We're cheering for you!
