Clip to ScrapBook
A principal once told me that a person gets hired by the little things they know or can do that another person can't. He said that everyone that applies was an honor student. He said that he looks for the little things
like organization, a voice that isn't too soft or too loud, someone who knows how to plan a field trip, someone who is crafty, etc.

I understand you frustration on spending 4 years in college just to sub, but it will get your foot in the door. After 4 years in college all I got last year was an aide position. The principal now promises to hire me IF anything comes open (so far nothing

is open). So if I were you, I'd think about how close is it until school starts. Long term sub can be benefitial. On the other hand, often when school starts position come open.
