You can stop by the district office or individual schools (wearing your best attire, of course!)Bring a portfolio of any work you've done (student teaching etc.) There are plenty of teachers who transfer, leave etc. without giving much notice. You may not get in to see the principal, but you just might...its worth taking a chance... Whats the worst that can happen? You can still make a good impression. Anyhow, you two are not losers, you are professionals & become determined to get your foot in the door somewhere! Keep the faith!
