There is a general rule of thumb when interviewing for a teaching position:

If a principal says he will call you in a week, he really means, "I might call in a month or so... if I get around to it."

To them, we are just interviewers. They don't see us as real people. We are just a name with a resume. We try, try, and try to get to the top of their resume stack. They don't care that we wait by the phone. They don't care that we just want an answer either way. They don't realize that THEY were once US... looking for a teaching job.
