interviewing skills
By another job hunter

Clip to ScrapBook
Dear Discouraged,

I am so sorry that you haven't been able to find a job. I have already offered advice in the past about braodening your search, staying positive, etc., so I won't go down that road again. However, if you
are admitting that you do not handle interviews well then maybe you might want to consider contacting your college or a local job placement service and ask them for support in preparing for interviews. Most "teacher" colleges and their career placement services offer courses or workshops that place you through several mock interviews, including videotaping yourself and critiquing that
interview. It certainly couldn't hurt to try. Maybe some more practice will instill more confidence. Good luck and try really hard not to be so down on yourself. In fact, I think it would be kind of nice if you posted back here and told us 5 things interviewers would like about you. What are your credentials, experience, interests, hobbies? Knowing a little more about what you are like might be helpful!
