it's definitely not easy

I know how difficult it is, believe me. I really thought I had a good (if not great) chance to be hired by the district that I student taught and subbed in. I was in that school so much and filled in whenever asked. The Superintendent
knew me by name and chatted with me a few times. Well, when I saw an ad in the paper about some openings, I applied and thought my connections would help. Turns out, I never even got called for an interview and I never even got acknowledgement that they received my application. I felt very used by that district. Here they were interviewing loads of others because they had experience
(or whatever else they were looking for). So, they interviewed total strangers and ignored me, the one they grew to know and depend on completely. What a slap in the face!!!
