"k" was right!
By Heather

Clip to ScrapBook
I went to the interview. the first words out of the principal's mouth were "I have no intentions of hiring you". She proceeded to take 20 minutes to explain that I didn't make an excellent teacher, and she only hires those
she feels are excellent. I looked at my latest evaluations. You guessed it-- all areas that she was complaining about were marked "excellent"! She said I wasn't a "team player". Come to find out another teacher told her that because I didn't share some of my personal supplies. Those teaching supplies like stickers can be expensive. I say "buy your own". To make a long story short,
she spent 20 minutes making me feel subhuman. I left in tears, and then got very angry. I called another district to see if they had openings, faxed a resume, interviewed on Friday, and was hired on the spot! The best thing out of my new principal's mouth was "You will be a great asset to our building." I can not wait to go to my old school and turn in my resignation on Monday. I am actually excited to start, even though my room is still in the cleaning stage. Thanks for everyone's encouragement.
