Emily, I think you need to be a little patience and think positive. Your job is out there.

Secondly, I live in Michigan and there is a teacher shortage in Michigan. Have you thought about teaching in an urban area - like Detroit? There are about 1,000 vacancies in Detroit.

Furthermore, getting a teaching postion may depend on your certification. Science and math teachers are in great demand. I am certified to teach K-5 and Science 6-8. Finding a teaching position was easy for me.

You need to apply to all districts. If you are picky (like most of my friends) you will be playing the waiting game for a long time.
