I too am waiting for the so called principal call. I was told I'd hear by Friday "either way". I figure now it's just waiting for the rejection letter. When they say we'll hear either way it would be so great to be able| to say "Just be honest, you won't call". No news is bad news! I too, like Caroline, have my Masters and have been quite fortunate in the past with jobs. I taught first grade for 6 years in another state and since moving to Michigan a few months ago, have had one interview. Looks like I'll be subbing just to keep myself in the schools. never getting out! There is no teacher shortage, just substitute shortage.
And what is the deal with posting positions after they are already filled??? Happens here too.
Anyway, just frustrated and venting.
