getting a job By Marci

You put it very well--what we go through when we search for a job. We devote so much time, energy, and money to obtaining that job. I went through this for ten years and began to think I was wasting that time, energy, and| money. Heck, many of the districts I wrote to even sent me letters like "We are sorry to inform you that you weren't chosen for an interview." Or worse yet, no letters or phone calls at all. I really got tired of filling out applications and licking those stamps. I got tired of the trips to the post office to mail something which, after awhile, seemed useless. I am glad that your | | efforts paid off. I, too, finally got a job, but it took forever and a relocation to do it. I wish I could have done it without relocating, but if I wanted to teach, I realized that I had to. Sometimes we just have to set our sights a little broader.
