they are powerful By sbslab

| I, too, believe in the power of thank you notes. I must admit, I am about a week behind in writing a couple which is very unusual for me. Just today at lunch, one of the younger students asked me if I had hung up the Corgi calendar he gave me last week. I told him that I hadn't, but that I had a good reason - I hadn't written him a thank you note yet. I went on to tell him that I never use an item given me until I've written the note. I've made only one exception - told him that, too - I was given a nightgown for my birthday this year that was so amazingly soft that I wore it that very night. My colleagues often joke that I must have stock in card companies as I write so many. Funny, they never tell me to stop writing them! :)
Congrats on your Donor's Choose funding and being a good role model for your students.
