older student teacher
By vkj

Clip to ScrapBook
I was old enough to be supervising teacher's mom, too. We worked very well together because I assured her that I was in her class to learn from her. She admitted later on that she was somewhat intimidated by the fact that I was so much older. She was afraid that I would be a "know it all" student teacher.

On a side note, during my student teaching, one of the students in the class had an older sister in her second year of college as an education major. When he found out that I was a "student teacher in college," he said, "Shouldn't you be a teenager? You look awfully old to be in college."
