don't give up By ck

I know it's hard. I have been there. Thirteen years to get my degree and I couldn't even get interviews. I took work as an aide. The teachers I worked with loved it. Having a certified teacher working with them, they really put my skills & education to use. I loved it, but yearned for my own room. This year again, I kept sending out the resumes, making phone calls. Finally one came through, in a 'round about way, in a district that had 'no more openings'. Having been skipped over for other positions, my resume was actually pulled from their file! I guess some places really DO keep them "on file"! | | I have yet to be approved by the Board, so things aren't really sewn up for me either! I don't know what to tell you Kim, except to try to keep your disposition positive. I'll keep you (& other job-seeking teachers) in my thoughts & prayers.
