Keep your name in their heads By Karla

I would keep calling the Human Resources every other day until you can get some information on open positions. I personally would not call the principal at home. I don't know if it is any more professional, but if you know| his address, maybe send your resume, letter etc. to his home so he can be aware of your name. I've never done that, and I don't know if it would be considered unprofessional. Anyone else have an opinion on that? As for principals not being in the building, in my school, the principal is there all the time, even over the summer. At another elementary school, the principal has been | | at the shcool on a regular basis. Of course, the building is going through some renovating and additions, so that could be why. You might try mailing a copy of your resume, etc. to the school. I know this doesn't give you immediate answer to your dilemma, but it might be worth a try. If you are available to and live within reasonable distance, you could make repeated stops at the Human Resources office of the Administration to inquire on the status of your application. They would definitely know you are interested. Maybe they haven't started interviewing, but they should be able to let you know what's going on, even if it is just vague information. Maybe this helps a little? Good luck.
